Silica Gel is a technical name applied to a broad family of inorganic materials made by reacting sodium silicate and sulfuric acid. The final product is formulated after a series of washing rinsing, and healing processes.

Silica Gel is a regenerative adsorbent consisting of amorphous slice. It is a noncombustible and nontoxic substance that is highly stable. It is compatible with most compounds. excluding hydroflouric acid and alkalines (olefines, esters, ketones, amines, and diluted ammonia).

Silica Gel is widely used due to its high adsorption capabilities, stability, thermal resistance, and high mechanical strengths. There are a variety of Silica Gel types that are used in numerous static and dynamic drying applications. The following pages will provide a detailed description of the Silica Gel types available through PlusPharma Inc., and their specifications and applications.
